Directions: Teacher glues red construction paper on
the shoeboxes ahead of time. The children decorate
their shoebox any way they want to with stickers,
paper scraps, or whatever is available. The mailboxes
are for putting in the Valentines each child receives.
Teachers can put treats in as well.

mixture to cool until easy enough to handle. Have
children mold it in the funnel. Place on waxed paper
to cool completely before wrapping. Wrap kiss and
strip in aluminum foil. Give as a gift to a special
someone.

children decorate them as desired. Staple edges
together, leaving an opening, and stuff with scrap

Thumb-body Loves You Cut various shaped hearts from
white and pink construction paper. Using red paint
decorate the hearts with children's thumbprints. Set
hearts aside to dry. On a 4 ½ by 8-½ inch paper write
out "Thumb-body Loves You". Tape the paper to an empty
12-oz. Juice can. Glue a painted heart to the can,
then glue the remaining hearts to Popsicle sticks.
Press a small amount of clay into the bottom of the
can. Then tuck a small amount of red tissue into the
can, and then insert the sticks through the paper and
into the clay.

sandpaper. Tape hearts to table and lay a sheet of
white typing paper over them. Use side of crayon to
lightly rub over hearts, making a pattern on paper.

paper. Use a hole pinch and make 2 hole in center of
heart, not side by side, but one under the other,
about an inch or two apart. Thread a drinking straw
into one hole and back out the other.

of newspaper. Cut out and staple all around, leaving a
small opening. Let kids decorate their hearts with
fingerpaint. After drying, stuff with crumpled

staple to bottom point of heart.

Gingerbread Valentines Materials: 1 cup shortening 1
cup sugar ½ teaspoon salt 1 egg 1 cup molasses 2
tablespoons vinegar 5 cups sifted flour 1 ½ teaspoons
baking soda 1 teaspoon each of ground ginger,
cinnamon, and cloves 1 package red hots candies 1 jar
silver ball candy decorations Directions: 1.
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar, and salt. 2. Add
egg, molasses, and vinegar. Mix well. 3. Sift together
dry ingredients. Add to molasses mixture, mix well. 4.
Chill about 3 hours. Roll out, ¼ inch thick, on
lightly floured surface. 5. Trace children's hands
onto paper and cut out with scissors. Place paper
hands on dough and cut around with a knife. 6. Place
on greased cookie sheet and let children decorate
their own hands. Use red hots for fingernails, silver
balls for rings, etc. 7. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 - 8
minutes, cool on wire rack. Makes about 15 hands.

Loveable Cookies Materials: 1 20 oz. Roll refrigerated
sugar cookie dough, chilled 1 16 oz. Can pink frosting
Powdered sugar Heart shaped cookie cutters - 1 small
and 1 large Directions: Prepare sugar cookies
according to directions on the package for rolled
cookies. Cut hearts in dough using a cookie cutter.
Use knife or smaller cookie cutter to cut out a heart
in the center of half the cookies. Place cookies on
ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 - 9
minutes. You can bake the baby hearts, too, for 5
minutes only. Let cool. Spread each big solid cookie
with frosting and top with a cutout cookie. Sprinkle
with powdered sugar.

make a heart shaped brooch. Make the dough - then
shape into hearts. Before the heart is dry press pins
into back of hearts. When the heart is completely dry,
paint with valentine colors.

cup warm water 2 teaspoons cream of tarter 1 teaspoon

knead until blended smooth. Leftovers can be placed in
an airtight container when cooled. Will last for a
long time.

Valentine Holder Materials: 1 and ½ Styrofoam plates
Stapler Hole Punch Colored Yarn Kids Plastic Sewing
Needle Directions: Turn ½ plate upside down on the
full plate. Staple in 2 - 3 spots around the edge to
keep it from slipping. Hole punch through both plates
all around the sides the 2 plates touch. This will be
sewing holes for older pre-k's to sew. Show them how
to sew their plates together and then decorate with
stickers or whatever. Hang them up with ribbon and use
them as mailboxes.

Magnets Use plaster of paris or any dough that
hardens. Pour into candy size paper baking cups. Let
harden. Paint like a piece of candy. Glue a magnet
strip on the back.

Mouse Cut a large heart shape from construction paper.
Glue a small length of yarn for a tail at the top of
the heart but let it hang off of the heart. Fold in
half like a teardrop. Stuff with a little cotton. Glue

half. Glue on rounded part of big heart so they form
an ear on each side. Add whiskers, eyes, and a little
pink nose.

decorate the sticky part of the contact paper.

Circle Time Heart Match Game Make a valentine for half
the number of children in the group. Cut each heart in
half in a zigzag or swirly fashion, so that each cut
is fairly unique and identifiable. Each child is given
part of a heart and must find his/her partner by
matching the valentine halves.

Flying Hearts Glue a red and a pink heart together
back to back. Put this special heart plus about three
dozen plain hearts in the center of an old bed sheet.
The children hold onto all sides of the sheet and

the most hearts and the one who finds the special pink

Directions: 1. Cut a brown paper bag along the seam.
Then cut the bottom out so that you have a long strip
of brown paper. Fold the strip in half and cut a neck
hole at the fold and a 4-inch slit down the back. The
bag should now fit over your head like a vest, with
half the bag in front of you and half in back of you.
2. Fold the two front, bottom corners of the bag up
and in to form the bottom point of a heart. Glue them
together. This will form the pocket for your valentine
mail. Sketch the top part of the heart on the vest.
Then paint the entire heart red. 3. When the paint has
dried, outline the heart with white glue and stick
bits of shredded tissue around it like lace.

Scissors Stapler Black marker Glue Flat lollipop
Directions: 1. Fold a piece of red construction paper
and cut a half heart about 3 ½ inches high on the
fold. Leave the heart folded to form the body of the
mouse. 2. Cut a smaller heart from the red paper for
the head of the mouse. Cut a slit about halfway up
from the point of the heart. Wrap the two sides of the
slit around to form a cone nose and staple them in
place. Use a black marker to draw eyes and a nose.
Staple the head to the pointed end of the heart body.
Staple the rounded end of the body so that it forms a
pocket. 3. Cut a tiny heart from red paper. Write PULL
on the heart and glue it to the stick end of the
lollipop. Write your valentine message on this heart
and glue it over the wrapper. Tuck the lollipop into
the body of the mouse so that the stick end is
sticking out to form the tail of the mouse.

Scissors Glue 4 Large rubber bands Markers Directions:
1. Cut two hearts of the same size from red
construction paper. Make them bigger than your hand.
Cut 4 1 inch hearts from the red paper for the
puppet's hands and feet. 2. Cut each of the rubber
bands so that they form elastic strings. Glue the
rubber bands to the sides and bottom of one of the
large hearts to form the arms and legs of the puppet.
3. Glue the tops of the two large hearts together with
the ends of the rubber bands between them. Leave the
bottom part open to slip your hand in. 4. Glue a small
heart to the end of each elastic arm and leg. When the
puppet has dried completely, draw a face with markers.

game involving a hidden valentine. Choose one child to
be postman and give him or her the postman's hat. (Red
strip of paper with pink heart that says Postman.) The
postman must hide his eyes while you give another
child a valentine to hide behind their back. Then the
postman uncovers his eyes and faces his classmates who
say, "Postman, postman, where's the mail?" The postman
gets three guesses to find out who is hiding the mail.
If he guesses correctly, he continues as postman. If
he guesses incorrectly, the person with the mail
becomes the postman.

Directions: Fill jars with cotton balls. Cut out 1
large heart, which is just a little taller and wider
than the front of the jar. Cut out a medium size
heart, which is about 1 inch larger than the base of
the jar. Cut out 2 small hearts (about the size of a
penny or dime). Glue large heart to the face of the
jar so that the top of the heart extends beyond the
top of the jar (gives the appearance of ears). Glue
medium heart to the base of the jar so that the top of

heart sticking out from the base will look like feet).
Glue small hearts on the sides of the jar in the
middle (looks like hands). Glue a cotton ball to the
back of the jar (looks like a cottontail). Have kids
draw the face on the large heart before gluing.

Image copy and pasted on to a 600x250 new image
Black and white image works best
Effects>image effects>seamless tiling ( Default)
Adjust >Blur>Gaussion>13
Mura Meister's copies> Default ( See image for example)

New raster layer> flood with with a darker color that is complementary
Move this new layer underneath image layer
Merge the image and new flood-filled layer together

Selection tool>rectangle > Add (shift),feather 0,anti-alias checked> draw selection top to bottom >promote selection. Select none....On same layer Tramages Tow The Line ( See my image for specifications)

Change to Luminance ( legacy)
Flip and mirror this layer till it looks like mine.

The lower opacity to 28
Now go back to bottom layer>Xero-fritillary 7,30,10,12

Click on preset shape tool>eclipse> foreground the same color as before Background -null Line width 4
Holding down the shift key, draw out eclipse to same height as tag. X out the eclipse and convert to raster layer.
Hide everything else including background layers and click inside eclipse. Selections> modify>expand 2 copy and paste image as new layer. positioning how you want it. Invert and delete the excess.
Back on eclipse Drop shadow 3,3,64,7 ( see image)

Merge image and eclipse together. Duplicate and move it under original image layer and X it out for a moment. On Original layer resize 90% once or twice (your choice. I did mine twice)

New layer > flood fill with same color as before; I used :#5c0606
Move this layer underneath the eclipse/image layer. change the blend mode to Multiply

Go back to the duplicated image. Resize this by 111% you want this image larger than original. Position towards the middle of the tag but still under original image. But above your promoted layer from earlier

Change to Luminance( legacy) and drop the opacity to 22.

Go back to Xero Fritillary and hit ok ( same settings as before).

Position original image towards the other side (see mine for example)

Adding any wording you want along with the name and drop shadow as before
Add your copyright information and save as JPEG and you are done!

Wow Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. So much has gone on since I last posted. First off my husband Michael came home from Iraq in June after being gone a year!

The picture above is the day he came home and was checking out his welcome home signs!

After he came home us and some friends of ours went to a Wilderness park and had a blast! here is a couple of pictures from there...

Our kids had JROTC camp in June and had to wear their uniforms.... The morning that they left Michael and Jessica's husband Adam had to go into work.... I managed to get a picture of all four of them in their uniforms...Tallest to shortest...Then the beginning of July we went to Ohio on leave and had a blast.. Will post some pictures in another blog....

Wow Been Awhile!

Hey all I know I have been horrible about posting.....So much has been going on here it has been unreal. Between my kids and my husband and also schooling keeping me hopping, there are days I do not know which way is up. Ok let me catch you up to speed. In Feb my son who is part of the Special Olympics polar plunge, raised the 2nd highest total of donations. Also in Feb was what was supposed to be my daughter and son's JROTC ball but do to snow it was rescheduled till April. In March my daughter started working through the "Get Hired!" program through the Army's MWR program. She has been working with school age kids and loves it. She also tried out for the Cheerleading squad but didn't make it :( that's ok though. She had fun trying and that is all that counts. My kids also had their Spring break in March which wasn't too bad we kept busy and had a lot of fun visiting different areas around here. Also in March the kids had Special Olympics Unified Basketball. They came in third place but had fun and Christina made a gorgeous cake for all to share. On March 30th my friend Clarissa's daughter came to visit for awhile. Her name is Krystal and she has a little boy named Briant. We have had a lot of fun showing her around the area. April 1st Jayson had Track & Field Special Olympics with his events being the Running Long Jump & The 100 Meter Run. He took 1st place in his running long jump and 3rd in his run. Michael and I are so proud of him. Also in April Christina ended up joining the Junior Varsity Cheer Squad. There was an issue with another girl and since Christina was the closest in points, she was able to replace her. Boy did we scramble to get the money together to get it paid off. $686 dollars later ( thanks in part to an awesome friend!) HS Cheer is so crazy expensive. Man this squad has a ton of different uniforms they wear (seriously way too many) but Christina is having fun. Yep she is still working BTW. April 26th was my birthday and my friends took me and the kids out to dinner. We had an awesome time. On April 30th I flew to Jackson Hole Wyoming then got picked up by my best friend Jessica and had an awesome drive back to her home in Idaho Falls ID. Got lots of pictures as well. Only downside of the trip there was my phone was stolen at the Salt Lake City airport( was found later on in a bathroom). Will be posting pictures here eventually haha...). Got back to Oklahoma the night of May 2nd just in time for my kids JROTC awards. Jayson for the Guy Rogers award and Christina was LET 2 Superior Cadet of the year & LET 2 Cadet of the Year ( both for the 2nd year in a row). Which brings me to now. School is kicking my butt! lol I hate how my classes are set up this block. It is so confusing. Oh forgot to mention in April Christina got her temps so stay off the roads LOL...... Coming up this week Jayson heads to Northern Oklahoma for State Finals in Special Olympics GOOD LUCK JAYSON!!! Also Christina's Sweet 16th birthday is this week and Jayson's 18th Birthday is the 19th Oy Vay! Also I will mention my husband Michael will be returning from Iraq sometime next month so between now and then things are going to be really crazy!!! Anyway thats it for now.... will try to update again soon and maybe actually get some creative work done as well!!!

I have had so much going on this month it's been crazy. In between my kids school activities and my own schooling its been chaos. I will be releasing some new photos hopefully within the next week. I am also hoping to have at least 1 new mini kit posted as well. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!! Next month is going to be a bit crazier. With the kids sports and activities plus their homecoming and then little day trips the kids and I are planning its going to be a busy month!!!

Man I miss the days waking up super early to start watching cartoons...those were the best!

Anyway yep I know way overdue for a posting.... Ok let me catch you up on the last month...Last month my husband deployed to the sandbox! I spent a couple of weeks with the kids adjusting to our daily life without him here...We miss him so much... I am glad to say though he is doing good...have been able to talk to him the last few days and the last couple of days he has been my morning wakeup call :) Getting ready to send him out a few packages next week...

anyway I have had a serious lack of mojo lately.. I open PSP and nothing gets done.... UGHH hate this.... I really need to start creating!

Hey all I know I am long overdue on this post...Sorry lots of things going on here....Between birthdays and a couple of mini vacations plus my husband on leave I really have had time to sit down and post.....

My family and I went on a great mini vacation to Kansas City Kansas to Great Wolf Lodge ..It was awesome and we had so much fun!!! I will be posting pictures later on about it...

My husband is getting ready to leave soon for his 4th deployment hence the reason why I really havent been around... trying to spend time with him and the kids is my first priority!

Special Olympics & Our Son

Our son Jayson participated in the Special Olympics today on the base! We all had such an awesome time. In addition to me and my husband our friends Cathy & Savannah was there encouraging and taking photos! It was so awesome. This was the first time the Special Olympics have been back to the base since 9-11 happened so that made the whole day even more special!!!

Jayson participated in both the 100 meter run as well as the running long jump. Jayson has always been my runner.he loves to run and has been "training" for the last 2 weeks for this. Well all that training paid off! He took 1st place in both events! We are so proud of him!!! All the athletes did an amazing job!!!

Well lets see its been a tad bit since I last posted.... Lots of stuff going on here....I am no longer with Mistaken Art.... This has NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING to do with Mis,T or Mistaken Art... This was a personal choice.

I am seriously thinking about leaving my job....Loads of stuff have been going on there and I am no longer happy about working there... No clue what I will do next but that remains to be seen...Maybe its just the spring coming in and my desire to be outside more with my family who knows.... I know the job will keep me occupied during Michael's upcoming deployment but I dont know how much my family can take with my work schedule.... I dont know just rambling I guess

Ok on to some new stuff..... I have opened a new group for my photos.....I will share my group later on....

Time and Tuts

Oh man Time is flying.... soon this year will be gone....This year has been a year of changes not just for me personally but a year of changes for the Simpson family as well.... As many of you know My husband returned on Feb 1st from a 15 month deployment to Iraq. Its been awesome having him home...next my family left NY and moved to Oklahoma for our PCS move.... Its been ok down here....The weather has been good although there were days when it was hotter than hades but thats ok....As far as dealing with the different places on base thats another story... its sooo different from Drum and in fact in some places it was much much worse... There are days when I want to go back to Drum. My kids have started school.. I have a freshman and a sophomore. Yikes scary! Although did you know that this school mandates that these kids walk through metal detectors thats how bad the violence is in the school!! Scary stuff!! I am so proud of both of my kids.,.They have adjusted very well and are actually getting involved in things....My daughter is part of the JROTC as well as Key club..She just had her very first HS spirit week and had a blast! Jayson is bowling and enjoying other activities and he too is loving it.....
I on the other hand have been working for the government at a shoppette on base. Its been good working there. We do have alot of laughs which is a good thing... Mike has been put on detail away from his unit... its nice to have him home early for a change!

Ok next subject lol have you gone to a fave tut site or scrap site and discovered it was no longer around?? I found that out this morning that several of my fave sites are gone :( oh well back to the drawing board....

anyway I have new pics posted at MtA....Should be released soon so keep your eyes out....

Ok I know its been well over a month since I last posted but man its been crazy
FIRST The concert was freaking awesome... he was too cool.... then had fireworks afterwards...... THEN in the middle of July my husband and I were able to find a place to rent here in Lawton for only $425 a month yay! Then on July 21st I received a phone call from my friend Michelle........She gave me the worse news a wife could ever receive she had lost her husband in the war in Afghanistan :( my heart still breaks for her... She is strong though....The funeral was intense and sad...but beautiful... each one of his kids along with Michelle and his parents received a flag....

along side all of this I have started working at the Shoppette on the base,. My work hours are crazy but its ok. There is never a lack of action around the store lol

woohoo my kids start back to school on the 21st!! YAY!!

Lazy Day In OK

Hey all.... Well it was lazy day in OK but we had a fun day! We went to a museum about Fort Sill then went to Geronimo's grave( along where his wife and children are buried)
very interesting! Then went to the Mall( Damn I know Salmon Run Mall was small but this mall is even smaller!)We walked the whole mall in like 10 minutes( and yes that even stopping in stores to look!)Came back and hung out here for a bit. Sat down and played Phase 10 with Mike and Christina and Amanda..... LOL Amanda came from behind and kicked out asses! Well later on Mike and I and the kids went for a walk...Course it wasnt a long run cause 1/2 through it Mike had to go to the bathroom so came home and then everyone was just to hot so said we would do it tonight........Little bit of drama here but thats life in a house with 3 families!!!! oooooo Also where we are staying at is right down the street from Polo Field( yep the SAME place where TIM MCGRAW will be flying into on Friday for the concert!)Well a ton of buses escorted by a few MP's came down our road ... That could only mean one thing!!! Welcome Home Soldiers!!! It was too cool. We got to hear everyone screaming and such........I am so behind in creating.... I need to work on some packs this week at some point! I also applied for a job at AAFES so keep your fingers crossed for me!! Anyway I am off need to run to the store... Have a good day! oh yea the picture is taken on Saturday June 27th! Look at my daughter's dark hair:( She looks good though!:)

Hey all boy its been awhile.... well as I mentioned we are moving and right now we are in MN on leave. We are leaving for Oklahoma on the 7th.... Anyway lots of stuff going on... Its amazing what happens to you when you have been offline for nearly a damn month. You get accused of shit you didnt even do..... and whats worse when I tried to email the owner I dont know if she even got it as I havent gotten a response yet from her...( and btw I know you are reading this so this is just a heads up that you have TWO emails from me) Oh well such is life..... Anyway enuff drama.... its been interesting to say the least. Spent almost a week and a half in the middle of nowhere with no internet access whatsoever... about damn near drove me nuts.... Lord I was haooy to see civilization again lol

Time Sure Flies!!

Oh Man So much has gone on since I last blogged.... Well for one We are moving in 2 weeks instead of almost 2 months!!! YIKES!! soooo much to do to get ready for the movers.... Have been cleaning and organizing everything.... getting rid of alot of stuff.... We arent taking some of our big furniture with us like our dining table and computer desk....or our couch! Michael said we would buy all new stuff that actually matches when we get there wooohooo!!! I cant wait I already know what dining room set I want.... Living room is gonna be another story HAHA!!

Anyway my birthday is the 26th so me and my family are going to Herkimer Diamond Mines
I cant wait! its gonna be awesome.... The kids are really looking forward to it!!!So are me and Michael!!!
The packers come on the 27th and 28th... Then May 4th we clear housing and are heading out. We will be in MN for almost a month as well as Ohio for a few days! I am hoping to meet up with a good friend of ours who we havent seen in years!

anyway I havent posted any new scrapkits as I have been totally mojo'd out! I would love to see some ideas from ya if you have any!!!

Also I have some new photos up for sale at MtA....
Will have more up soon!!! Please help me get the word out about my pics... Also would love to hear feedback on them as well.....

My son woke up in such a bright and cheery mood..... Ya RIGHT Not!!!

Anyway today Christina has to have an MRI done on her knee and then off to school she goes... She also has cheerleading practice tonight so she is keeping us hopping.... Wow just over 60 days till we head to Oklahoma....YAY! I cant wait I am so excited!

oooo I know I promised new scraps would be posted last weekend but I'm sorry RL took over so I will try to see if I can get them done this week.... Ohhh and I have a secret LOL its' all good... cant say to much now but will announce as soon as I can!

WOW Time Flies

LOL I cant believe its been a month since I last posted.... But in that month LOADS of things happened( all for the good of course!)
1st off my husband Michael returned safely from Iraq on the 1st....YAY!!!
2 we got our tax refund so we bought a few things for the house and for me including a new printer! I sooo needed one....
Also we went on vacation to both Ohio and Minnesota to visit both sides of the family....
We had alot of fun! While we were in MN we went to this HUGE outdoor sports place called Cabela's...its so awesome... we love going there every time we go home. My FIL was nice enough to buy Jay & Christina helmets for the 4 wheeler. Then when we went to Cabela's Michael bought us one as we needed it.... We also went to the Mall Of America and had such an awesome time.....If you havent been there.... you should go . its so cool...With Legoland and the Nick themepark in there plus the hundreds of stores...its so worth the trip. They also have this awesome underwater adventure aquarium... There is a 300 foot tunnel that you walk through and meanwhile all the sharks and sting rays and a couple HUGE turtle float around you,... it was amazing... got some good pics there too.....will try to post some of them later for you.... We returned home a day later than we originally intended but that was due to weather issues... Course now we are all sicker than dogs. Chris and Mike are the worse though.. They have nasty sinus infections.
The picture I am sharing is when Christina walked up to the glass to the see the turtle better it floated up to her as if to say hi.... She is such an animal magnet LOL

Anywho off to do some creating and ughhh here comes the rain!

Hey all... Thought I should give ya an update..... Things have been ultra busy around here.... Michael will be home within a few short weeks so been doing some mad cleaning and also reorganizing the house LOL... I will also be moving furniture around.( Mike knows I am good for moving furniture)

Hope you all had a great Christmas with your friends and family. My Christmas kinda sucked since my husband is still in the stupid sandbox...But he will be coming home SOON! YAY!!!

My daughters biological father came up and brought her other brother Brian and her sister Nikki to meet her for the 1st time. It was cool. The girls had so much fun together! Even Brian did as well... Jayson stayed hidden upstairs most of the time! Little Snot!

You wouldnt know that Christina and her sister are actually 2 years apart.. They look so much alike!!

I may have mentioned before my life is a bit insane LOL..... Things have been so busy here its nuts! But its all good......My husband will be coming home soon... I so cant wait for him to get here. I miss him so much!!! Have I mentioned I HATE 15 month deployments???
At least we get to talk on the phone ya know?
It doesnt really feel like Christmas without him around.... He loves teasing me and Chris when we are decorating the house or picking on Jayson while he is helping do the lights....Even doing the baking yesterday seemed strange,...... He ALWAYS swipes one of whatever we are cooking( ya know gotta do that taste test thing to make sure it tastes good kinda deal)
We just need him home!
Anyway as I mentioned me & Chris & Jay were baking yesterday and we still arent finished( sucks when ya run out of vanilla LOL) but we did get alot done yesterday..... Including making truffles...... The only nice thing about the snow is that helped everything cool down faster as we sticking things outside to cool since we had no room anywhere else! Anyway back to the truffles
once they were chilled enough for us to roll them into balls Me & Christina started rolling them out then rolling in cocoa powder..... well one thing led to another and her and I ended up in a cocoa powder fight.... it was hilarious..... the funny thing is though Smirnoff & Bacardi got into the middle of it and ended up with cocoa powder over their faces( they love chasing us LOL)
Once Christina seen them she said with a a straight face( which had me laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face) " Hey Mom I didn't know we had Chocolate Labs"

Cheerleading Is Over :(

Well our girls went to NJ last weekend and ended up placing 9th place out of 14. Its sucks so bad.
The girls has ZERO deductions but the judges hated the routine! go figure though 9 of the 12 teams going to Disney World are from NJ hmmmmm
anyway we had a good time....

Finally an update!

well I finally got around to updating this blog here... As you can see I changed the name! I dont know I guess I got tired of the old one LOL.... I am still updating the rest of the blog and also should have some new creations soon to share!

On the homefront news........My husband's 3rd deployment is almost over wooohoooo! I can't wait! He is reenlisting this month and next year we are heading to Fort Sill OK!! YAY! Can't wait. I have a couple of friends out there already and made some new ones just recently! I can't wait to meet them in person!

Also my daughter Christina's cheerleading squad will be heading to regionals soon.... Its such an exciting but stressful time!

My son Jayson is doing fantastic in his schoolwork and really enjoys helping out the cheerleading squad whenever he can! He is also doing a great job in his gymnastics class!

My kids went out trick or treating and ended up having sooo much candy! LOL The pic in my profile is after trick or treating! See that huge pile of candy???

Ughh cant believe how much snow we got last week.... Thankfully it is all pretty much melted and it was actually warm on Halloween( unlike past years!) Here is a couple of pics just around my area ....Cant wait till I am outta here!

Grrrrr teenage attitudes suck! Not one but both have been giving me lip since this morning and I am ready to pull my hair out.......

I tell them to clean up they do everything but what I have asked.
If they actually do it it takes them FOREVER!!!!

How can one person spend 4 hours on their room and have ONE freaking basket of clothes done
?? ...and NOTHING ELSE !!!

I am sick of this crap. They want their allowance but yet they dont want to work for it

Breast Cancer Walk

Wooohooo my friend Tammi & I along with my 2 kids all did the Breast Cancer Walk yesterday . It was sooo much fun!!! My son ended up running the 5 mile part of it while Chris,Tammi & I just did the walk part of it. It was a blast. The weather was gorgeous!!!

New Scrapkits & Update

Hey All I know its been awhile since I last posted... Sorry about that! Lots of stuff been going on here..... My kids went to Operation Purple Camp in August. They had a GREAT time there. Learned quite a few new things LOL Not all of them good but hey they are teens!

Also my daughter joined the cheerleading squad. Its been quite an expierence so far( and QUITE expensive might I add).... Although she is having a lot of fun there are the moments where she just wants to quit but she toughs it out. This squad is a competition squad and actually had their first competition coming up October 11th Woohooo GO MIDGETS!!!

Also my son has been doing outstanding in his gymnastics and was moved up to the Intermediate Class! I am so proud of him. He is also a Freshman this year and has a split schedule going between the regular HS and the Vocational school. He is loving it!!!

My husband went back to the sandbox in August. He is doing ok. He is nervous as he is going up to the board soon to (hopefully!!) get promoted. Keep your fingers crossed he passes!!!

As for me. I am doing ok. Doing alot of creating for a group that I mod for .

What a GREAT R & R

Oh man this last 18 days have been soooo awesome! its been great having him home!

We had so much fun and no stress at all. We just kinda went with the day. We went 4 Wheeling a few times. Went up to ABay a few times and visited a winery plus just hung around the house and spent time together as a family!!!

As much as I dont want to I put him on the plane back to that hellhole Saturday morning.

Ahhh What A Day!!!

Man oh man what a day it has been! Got up with Michael before he left for work and made coffee and did all the normal wifey things to do Then jumped on the computer. read through emails and saved everything that I wanted and deleted the rest. I then went into the MSN group I am a assistant manager in and did my daily postings in there. LOL While in there I ended up doing some tutorials and boy did they have me hopping. I think I installed about 10 new filters today LOL..... My kids on the other hand is another story! I could not get them to wake up....Finally got my son up about 8:30 and he ran the dogs out then came in and went back to sleep. I gave up I let them both sleep till about noon just so I could have some peace and quiet( btw my kids are 12 & 14).......My son is sick with a bad bad cold so its really kicking his butt. that boy woke up for about 20 minutes then went back to sleep till like 3:30!!! Poor kid:(
Once Christina was up and moving she was GONE!!! literally! She went shopping and out to lunch with her friend Brittney and Britt's mom Christina. around 4 hub calls and asks me how fast can I make dinner and I am like why??? He had to remind me he was on 24 hour duty which I had totally forgotten about! OY!!! literally through dinner together in just under 25 minutes..Baked Chicken Rice Pilaf and Biscuits! am I good or what?? lol

Anyway now I am off to do more tuts with my friend Kelly!!!
